Carnival of the NBA #30

Wondering why this blog smells like cabbage today? It's because I'm hosting this edition of the Carnival of the NBA. Let's see what's crack-a-lackin' out there on the Iddanet...

  • At CelticsBlog, Jeff muses about mock drafts and how players who are drafted far from their expected pick don't tend to fare too well.
  • Ryan from HoopsAddict says farewell to Hoffa. Incidentally, if Hoffa really does average two blocks per game at any point in his career, I'll eat my own face.
  • A couple of Golden State Warrior blogs weigh in – "The City" offers his All-Crappy NBA Starters team, while "Golden State of Mind" recounts a reader encounter with ex-Warriors coach Eric Musselman.
  • Over on BobcatsPlanet, John insists that the Bargnani talk is a "smokescreen" (tired of that word yet?) and the Raptors will "draft Aldridge #1 to make their franchise player (Chris Bosh) happy". It's funny how outside observers think that the Raptors are like some desperate girlfriend who will do anything to make her man happy. Wait, no it isn't.
  • J.E. Skeets wants me to plug his Basketball Jones podcasts – as if you don't already know about them. In other news, Dwyane Wade gives Skeets "a boner". Skeet skeet skeet!
  • Finally, Chris from End of the Bench tries to solicit volunteers to bring some dead blogs back to life. Surely, there's someone out there just dying to spread the gospel about the Utah Jazz, specifically the majestic splendor of Mehmet Okur. Face it, Memo is cooler than Freddie Jackson sippin' a milkshake in a snowstorm.
